As most of you know, Amanda has not been here at the shop for quite a while. I thought it appropriate, now that it has been a while, to briefly explain. For the last 4 months of 2008, Amanda cared for and provided Hospice in her home for her mother, who had terminal cancer. Amanda was married in November to long-time boyfriend Burke Brimmer. Burke is an upstanding young man and they moved up their wedding plans so that her mother could attend. Her mother passed away in December. This, as you can understand, has been a life-altering experience for Amanda and, at least for now, she has decided to take a different path in her life. We fully support her in whatever she decides to do in the future.
